The IT
Support Specialist I serves as the primary expert for troubleshooting software
and hardware issues related to RecTrac, Micros, GEN and future software
platforms for the Department. This includes first-tier troubleshooting of
registration software, network, Citrix and OS issues; along with second-tier
diagnostic of firmware, hardware, replacement of equipment and talking staff
through a series of actions either over the phone or face-to-face. The position
acts as one of the managers responsible for purchasing, delivering, installing,
managing and cataloging the operations of all peripheral hardware and equipment
that is used at Department sites.
The IT
Support Specialist will be required to work under general direction with
minimal supervision to deliver projects and tasks. This position will also
provide second-tier managerial support for all unresolved issues generated by
Help Desk clients and staff, as well as manage all computer terminals used by
the Help Desk office. This includes researching, testing and deploying software
updates and new applications needed for operations and various trainings.
