Manager is an AWS service that you can use to view and control your
infrastructure on AWS. Using the Systems Manager console, you can view
operational data from multiple AWS services and automate operational tasks
across your AWS resources. They also make detailed plans to accomplish goals and provide training
and support to their staff. They also create expense budgets for the equipment
and often report to executive or senior management. They must ensure their
software adheres to corporate safety expectations and licensing laws,
especially when employed in finance, to prevent fraud and protect secured data.
They are
also typically in charge of purchasing hardware and software for servers and
work stations. The systems manager must have advanced analytical thinking and
logical reasoning skills. They must be proficient computer users and have the
ability to implement and debug complex computer algorithms. While real-life job
experience is helpful, specialized training, such as a bachelor’s degree in
computer science or another IT-related discipline is nearly always required.
Some employers may also require a master's degree.
